Day 54- June 23rd: Experiments

We started today by doing a special experiment with the kids. first we went and collected leaves from different trees and identified them. Then we messed around with some water and food coloring to create different colors. We then placed the leaves in to see if we could get the veins to turn into different colors. I can't wait to look at them tomorrow.

In the afternoon we headed to the special olympics for a few events. Ben and Hannah both took part in the tennis throw today. It took us about 15 minutes to get Hannah out of the car, but I tired to get her really excited. Hannah took first place, and Ben took second. I was super duper proud :) Tomorrow morning Hannah takes part in the 100 meter fast walk and in the Afternoon Ben has his relay. The opening ceremonies take part tomorrow night and I may just have to go along to see it.
